hi there!

I’m Tia. That’s me up there on the right and the rest of those people, well that’s my life! My sweet, fun and chaotic family. I know, I know, this isn’t the prettiest picture ever taken, but it is a real moment that I was so lucky to capture and it is one of my favorite of the four of us. I was super proud of myself for packing my big girl camera on our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park (I almost never remember to bring it on trips) and when we got to the top of the mountain, I couldn’t wait to snap a photo of us all with that gorgeous view. Well, wouldn’t you know, the second we got to the top of the mountain, it started to pour. Rain was everywhere. So, as you can see, there is no lovely view behind us. No mountain tops, or valley below. Just rain clouds and lots of uncomfortable faces with frizzy hair.

But it happened. And it was funny. And we talk about it all the time. It’s a REAL memory that we will always remember. And now, not only do we have it in our minds, we have it up on our wall.

You see, I’m all about capturing REAL LIFE MOMENTS! And even though this photo was technically planned, what happened to us was not and that’s what excites me! The randomness, chaos and humor we can find in our everyday lives is worth remembering! Yes, posed, fancy portraits have their purpose at times and can be great to have for yourself, but the meaning and memories behind them are usually non existent…unless it’s taken in front of Cinderella’s castle or on the top of Mount Everest, or one from a vacay like this one….then, I get it, pose away!

If you take a look at my instagram account (see my feed below) you’ll see that I’m pretty obsessed with taking everyday photos of our life. I take photos mostly of my kids, but I’m getting better at including all four of us. There is something so rewarding to me about grabbing these precious moments to have forever.  In fact, I feel so fulfilled doing it, it's exactly why you find me showing others how to document real life for themselves and why you find me doing it for my clients.

when i’m not taking photos…

I love to learn about and cook plant based meals. I’m kind of obsessed with how most of these meals can be both so amazing for our bodies and delicious. I tell you, that God, he knew what he was doing when he created real food for us :) I’m constantly learning new recipes and buying new plant based books to read. Do I eat this way you ask? Well, not 100% of the time, but I’m working on it. Chick-fil-a always seems to work itself into my life just at the right moment. So, we shall see if I can kick that habit soon. I’m planning on jumping in head first after our trip to Disney World.

I also just recently started running, something that I told myself I would never be able to do and guess what? I’m doing it! If you want to follow along with my journey, head on over to my instagram account and watch my stories. I post vlogs frequently of my progress with Couch25K and I love hearing from you guys on things that can help me run better.

And last but not least, I love to listen to music. I need it! If I can’t listen to music at least two hours per day I go crazy.  It's like my therapy and where I get most of my inspiration from.
